Uganda’s healthcare system continues to face challenges marked by high morbidity and mortality rates driven by preventable diseases, limited access to quality healthcare, and insufficient health education. Preventive and primary healthcare interventions are critical to reducing disease burden and improving quality of life. Despite notable progress in living standards over the past decades, Uganda still ranks among the countries with the poorest
health indicators globally. Many individuals and families continue to suffer and die from preventable illnesses, largely due to a lack of awareness about preventive measures and early intervention strategies.

With the recent aid cuts, the Uganda Healthcare Federation and the Ministry of Health, in partnership with Copious Health Services in an initiative have organized The Family Health Expo and Symposium to address Uganda’s healthcare challenges by focusing on preventive, proactive, and primary healthcare solutions. The event brings together stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem on a collaborative platform to share knowledge, engage, showcase, and develop innovative family/community health-centered solutions. We seek to empower individuals/groups with the tools and information needed to adopt healthier lifestyles and drive sustainable progress towards better health outcomes for all Ugandans.
